saying hello on a cheery day!
knowing stuff
feeling popular
excuse to use random emoticons *<:)

getting an important point across!
discussing serious business
hugs (sending hugs doesnt make them feel better, though i try)
sounding like an airhead
starting to use text lingo while talking "jk ROFL!"
the conclusion:
wait...where was i getting with this...
oh yea! texting leads to misunderstanding! but we do it anyway so who cares!
